Milad Arbash, a Syrian refugee living in Derby, spoke to the Derby Telegraph and BBC Radio Derby to tell his story for Refugee Week 2016. Milad explains his struggle to escape terror in Syria and his dangerous journey across the Mediterranean to a life in Derby. Despite all this, Milad show his passion for humanitarian work by talking about his time volunteering with the British Red Cross and Upbeat Communities to support refugees and asylum seekers in the city.
