For National Hate Crime Awareness Week (9th - 16th Oct), we are delivering joint awareness session webinars on victim support services, along with our CORE partners. We are also participating in Communities Inc. Bystander Intervention Training and encourage everyone to join in.
As we head into this year’s National Hate Crime Awareness Week (9th - 16th October), the Multi-Faith Centre would like to share its participation in the following ways.
During the actual week, the MFC will be joining fellow partners Derbyshire LGBT+, Derbyshire Victim Services, Disability Direct, and Remedi to deliver joint awareness session webinars on victim support services. The webinars are being offered from 11:00 am - noon on 11th October, 9th November, and 19th November. The webinars are open to anyone wishing to learn more about victim support services. To sign up, please email [email protected]
To continue the spirit of National Hate Crime Awareness Week, the MFC is honoured to share its participation in Stand by Me UK - Bystander Intervention Training, being offered free of cost by Communities Inc. We encourage all community members and organisations to consider attending this two-part online training, taking place Tuesday, 26th October from 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm and on Friday, 29th October from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm. Please visit this link to sign up directly.
This training is crucial to our commitments in the Race and Religion Hate Crime Network. This training is part of a broader movement to tackle hate crimes and stand in solidarity with victims and survivors of hate crimes. Attendees will directly benefit from this training, as it is designed to help build confidence and skills for safely helping others.
The Multi-Faith Centre stands in solidarity with victims and survivors of hate crimes and expresses its gratitude to fellow community-based organisations working to support our communities.
