Brendan Woodhouse is a firefighter in the UK. He has been using his annual leave to help refugees since 2015. He has been on ten missions to the central Mediterranean Sea and been involved in the rescue of around 8,500 people. He was awarded the Fire Brigades Union solidarity medal in 2022 and campaigns for refugee rights.
Doro Ģoumãňęh is a former fisherman from The Gambia who now lives in France as a refugee. He speaks many languages and is currently working as an electrician.
