Come and join a celebration of the birth, enlightenment and final passing away of the Buddha, with chanting, meditation and readings.
All over South-East Asia, and in various other parts of the world, the festival of Vesak takes place at which Buddhists simultaneously celebrate three events:
- The birth of the Buddha
- The enlightenment of the Buddha
- The final passing away of the Buddha
This year as part of the University of Derby Faith & Belief month, Buddhist Faith Consultant Keith Munnings, is hosting a celebration providing everyone with the opportunity to experience and share in this annual festival.
Everyone welcome and there will be to a chance to meet with others over refreshments.
This event is free to attend, booking advisable.
