Researching his family history, Derek Niemann was shocked to discover his grandfather had been a Nazi Stormtrooper responsible for organising slave labour in Holocaust concentration camps.
Noemie Lopian’s mother survived Auschwitz where many of other family members died. Her father survived a number of concentration camps, and eventually wrote his memoirs.
Together they present a unique and united view of the Holocaust but from opposite sides of the story.
