Twelve months ago, the world united in horror as Russian missiles rained down on Ukraine. The toll on innocent people has mounted. Hundreds of Ukrainians civilians are losing their lives every month, and many more are being injured. In the last 365 days 6,800 peaceful civilians have been killed, over 450 children have been murdered and over 16,000 illegally transported to Russia and over 5,350 hospitals and schools have been destroyed. Millions of refugees are scattered through Europe. Many in our region.

Derbyshire's faith leaders are inviting the public to come together in prayer and solidarity with the people of Ukraine during for two special events.
The event will include a film and music installation by local artist Phil Harris. People in attendance will have opportunities for quiet prayer and to light a candle for an end to violence and suffering. They will also be invited to write messages of support on a petal that will be added to a specially created Sunflower of Hope.

No need to book, all welcome.
