We are delighted to welcome Paul Freestone to our Board of Trustees.
Paul is a qualified lawyer with over 30 years’ experience in senior commercial and customer facing leadership roles at Rolls-Royce. Having worked in UK, US, Thailand and China, Paul left the organisation in 2020, and now provides business and cultural advice to SMEs in the region.
Joining the Multi Faith Centre Board of Trustees in November, Paul is part of the Strategy and Performance Sub Committee. Here his legal background, proven business acumen and extensive experience of living and working in different global environments is beneficial in shaping effective plans which deliver against the charity’s strategic goals.
As a charity we encourage and facilitate dialogue, co-operation, mutual respect and understanding between people from different faith communities and civil society. By bringing people together we aim to improve the wellbeing of vulnerable people living in Derby. Vital to the success of the Multi Faith Centre is an enthusiastic and engaged board of trustees who have a broad range of skills and experience. Trustees come from diverse backgrounds and are chosen for their skills and expertise they can bring to effective governance of the charity. Trustees strive to understand the issues affecting the region and share a fundamental appreciation of the value that all faith communities have in building safe, healthy, and cohesive communities.
We are further seeking to grow and develop our board by recruiting trustees with experience and expertise in HR, Finance, Project Development and Planning, Fundraising and bid writing.
